About Evan Winegard
Evan Winegard is a financial professional and business enthusiast based in Austin, Texas. He is the CFO for several organizations, and he is skilled at assisting companies of all sizes with strategic accounting, equity development, mergers and acquisitions, resource and change management, operations, and more. During the past decade, he has worked with companies in the beginning stages of business development to organizations with over $50 million in revenue, and everything in between.
Evan owns and operates his own business, Abstract CFO, where he serves as a concierge-style CFO. Through Abstract CFO, Evan Winegard works with a wide range of businesses, including startups, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and mature companies. He assists these organizations with a variety of functional tasks such as accounting and bookkeeping, report optimization, cash flow and budget models, and process improvement and automation. Evan also assists many companies with strategic financial planning, including capital and equity, scalable T&A and ERP systems, organizations alignments, and internal and external audits.
Evan Winegard also serves as the Chief Financial Officer and business strategist for CHILMarketing, a B2B company based in the greater Austin area. As the CFO of the company, Evan provides services to CHILMarketing, as well as its clients. Utilizing his 15 years of experience in the financial sector, Evan provides these businesses with financial services, strategic consultations, and business analysis to strengthen their portfolios and achieve their goals.
Evan is also the CFO for TRUE+ WAY ASL (TWA). TWA is a student-focused online curriculum focused on training people in conversational ASL with the goal of empowering them to communicate with deaf people in their communities. Evan has served as CFO for TWA since December 2018.
From 2014 to 2018, Evan Winegard worked as a Principal with Infini Consulting. In this role, Evan consulted with companies and provide a wide range of direct services and professional development. These services included tax preparation, corporate and non-profit governance and strategy, change management, accounting and accounting systems, HR and HR systems, as well as operations management.
Evan Winegard attended the Rochester Institute of Technology for both his undergraduate and graduate studies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, as well as an Executive MBA in business. He is fluent in both English and American Sign Language.
Evan Winegard has served as a board member for numerous foundations. He is currently serving as a board member for the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation and the Greater Austin Foundation for the Deaf. He also previously served as a board member for the South Dakota School for the Deaf Foundation.
In his free time, Evan Winegard enjoys sports and spending time with friends and family. Even out of the office, Evan is a driven leader with a passion for helping others succeed. For example, he coached basketball for the United States of America Deaf Basketball (USADB) from 2005 to 2011, leading his team to first place in the Midwest Athletic Association of the Deaf (MAAD).
